Q1: What is the first step to becoming a pilot?A: Schedule a Discovery Flight! It’s a low-commitment way to experience flying firsthand with one of our certified instructors. You’ll get to take the controls and ask all your questions in the air.
Q2: Do I need any experience to start flight training?
A: None at all. Just a passion for flying! We’ll guide you from day one—no prior experience required.
Q3: How old do I need to be to start flight training?
A: You can begin training at any age, but you must be 16 to solo and 17 to get your Private Pilot License (PPL).

Q4: What is required to earn a Private Pilot License?
A: You’ll need to complete:
• Minimum 40 flight hours (20 with instructor, 10 solo)
• Pass a written knowledge test
• Complete a checkride with a Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE)
Q5: How long does it take to get my license?
A: Most students complete their training in 4–6 months depending on their availability. 5-6 months if you fly twice a week.
Q6: Do I need to pass a medical exam?
A: Yes. You’ll need at least a Third-Class FAA Medical Certificate. We’ll help you find a local aviation medical examiner.

Q7: How much does flight training cost?
A: Training typically ranges between $13,000–$18,000, depending on your pace.
Q8: When can I fly?
A: We fly 7 days a week! Whether you need early mornings, weekends, or after work—we’ll work around your schedule.
Q9: Do you offer financing?
Unfortunately we at AITS do not offer financing assistance. However, there are many resources such as AOPA Finance and Flight Training Finance which can offer support.

Q11: Can I bring someone on my flight?
A: Yes, after your instructor approves and you’ve demonstrated proficiency, passengers are welcome on some flights.
